Sleman, Indonesia - The Jogjakarta Montessori Middle School (JMMS) Grade 9 embarked on a hands-on learning into the industrial sector. This time, the students went to PT Mirota KSM on February 25, 2025, encouraging students' exploration of the world of dairy production.

A key discussion point during the sharing session of this visit was the quality of milk sources imported directly from New Zealand, fostering students' and teachers' more profound understanding of the significance of dairy base from overseas. Following the sharing session, the students took a factory tour, visiting the central milk production building. One of the highlights of the visit was witnessing the milk production process room. Although the students were unable to enter the room due to strict hygiene regulations, they had the opportunity to meet the Research and Development (R&D) team for a moment and catch a peek at the product development lab. PT Mirota KSM representatives also explained the importance of hygiene, quality control, and sustainability in ensuring safe and high-standard dairy products for consumers.

Continuing from the lab building, the students entered the milk storage room. The students witnessed hundreds of imported milk-based ingredient packs in this room. The storage room is specialized meticulously to maintain optimal conditions, where the room temperature is regulated in such a way and with strict access control measures. Not only that, the students also visited the storage space for finished milk products ready to be distributed. This part was an eye-opening experience for the students as they gained firsthand insight into a dairy factory's tangible flow and procedures. At the end of the tour, the students had a chill rest at Mirota's café. They enjoyed various food and beverages and explored Mirota's "Wall of Fame," displaying PT Mirota's journey all this time.

This educational outing is an enriching experience, reinforcing classroom learning and allowing students to explore innovation while appreciating the efforts behind high-quality milk production. Through this tour, the young minds were inspired to develop critical thinking, highlight potential career opportunities in science, technology, and business, and cultivate an early awareness of industry.
