Sleman, Indonesia - On February 14 and 28, 2025, the Bambini Casa 1 – 6 young explorers set off on an educational field trip at Gembira Loka Zoo. Held twice, Casa 1-3 embarked on February 14, while Casa 3-6 followed on February 28. This field trip program is a comprehensive learning experience for children to explore the diverse ecosystem through real-world observation and hands-on discovery.

At Gembira Loka Zoo, the children ventured various plants and animals through the ecosystems displayed. As the children stepped into the world of wildlife, including the Primata Zone, Cakar Zone, Gajah Zone, and Bird Station, they fostered a deeper appreciation of the complexities of living organisms and their environments. Their faces lit up as they discovered animals they had learned in the classroom. From giant elephants to intimidating crocodiles lurking in the river and chirpy birds dancing in the air, the experience sparked children’s curiosity and encouraged them to learn intriguing facts along the way. They learned deeper how every species lives, eats, and adapts to their environment, connecting their classroom experiences to life and raising their appreciation for the animal kingdom.

As the young zoologists marveled at all parts of the zoo and various exotic animals, they got on the thrilling ride on the Katamaran Boat, wading through the lake while sharing unforgettable stories, elevating their immersive experience in the natural world.  

Throughout the wildlife adventure, the children meaningfully observed their surroundings, got close-up looks at fascinating creatures, eagerly asked questions, and shared their favorite discoveries with one another. This time’s learning not only enriched children’s holistic understanding of Biology and Ecology, but also allowed them to interact with friends, teachers, and different species.
